April Zamzow is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master’s degree in Counseling from Lakeland University (2011) and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work (2004). With over a decade of experience, she brings a compassionate, client-centered approach to supporting individuals, children (ages 5+), adolescents, adults, and families through life’s challenges.
April creates a safe, inclusive, and affirming space where clients of all identities feel seen, heard, and supported. Her work is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and respect for each person’s unique journey, empowering clients to build resilience, strengthen relationships, and move toward healing and growth.
With extensive experience working with young people facing anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns, mood disorders, neurodiversity, LGBTQIA+ issues, crisis situations, and trauma, April brings both clinical skill and genuine empathy to every session. Her approach is grounded in evidence-based modalities including Trauma-Informed Care, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Client-Centered Therapy.
April’s work is guided by the belief that healing begins with connection. She partners with clients and their families to foster resilience, build coping strategies, and promote emotional well-being—empowering them to thrive both in and beyond the therapy room.
